Virtual Business Professional Practicum

Nadya Namora was a participant on the 2021 Virtual Business Professional Practicum. Nadya is studying a Bachelor of Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) at RMIT University.

Q: Why did you decide to undertake the ACICIS program?

I joined this program to get more knowledge and to understand the Indonesian business culture.

Q: How have you found the academic components of this virtual program – i.e. the language classes/seminars?

Yes, I have gained a huge insight of the Indonesian business culture through the seminars and the tutorials.

Q: What organisation did you intern with? 

I was working under DAGADU Indonesia and I was part of their marketing team. I had to research the Indonesian online marketplace in order for them to expand their interaction with new customers.

Q: What are the main skills you have learnt during your virtual internship?

To interact with new people and give out ideas even though they might be wrong. I have also stepped out of my comfort zone.

Q: What did you find to be the most rewarding part of this virtual experience?

To learn more about the Indonesian business and what are the expected outcomes in the next 5 years.

Q: How will the virtual internship benefit or influence your career?

It will help me to know how to plan and organise when we are trying to tackle a problem within the company.

Q: Would you recommend this virtual program to your friends?

Yes, but I’d say that the non-virtual program would be better.
